Founded by Mike Collins in 1985 and based in Mablethorpe, Amutec were one of the leading British kiddie ride manufacturers for almost three decades. Always keeping ahead of the game, Amutec produced the first photographic kiddie rides in 1994, and the first smoking train rides a few years later.
They were eventually bought out by Namco, who continued manufacturing and operating a small range of rides in the early 2010s.
