2001 Amutec Flyer

 

This beautiful 3-horse carousel, released in the early 1990s, was manufactured by Amutec.  I believe the original version had cream coloured horses, but there is at least one variation with black horses (which also had a different mould).  The mirrored carousel itself is gorgeous, with a striped canopy and silver poles at the front of each horse's saddle.  The ride played traditional fairground music and included flashing light to give any child the illusion of a full scale carousel.

According to a 2001 flyer, the carousel measured 98" x 64".  The 2001 catalogue gives its price at £6,500.
