Did you ever dream of being a pilot when you were little? The idea of taking off to some far flung fantasy land sounds pretty exciting to most youngsters at some point, I think! Kiddie ride manufacturers didn't take long to cash in on this idea and soon, for a bit of pocket money, children across the world could pilot their own plane or helicopter for a minute or two. While many just used the typical "rocking" motion, some of the rides would even ascend into the air at the pull of a lever!
