This speedboat was one of Lowestoft-based R L Smith's original range of small rides, released in 1973.

It remained a popular ride for many years, continuing to be manufactured by John Mirgaux, under the name of JM Kiddie Rides, well into the 1990s.

It was sold in a variety of different colours.
Fantasy Island, Bowleaze Cove, May 2021. This particular unit has been at Bowleaze Cove since my childhood in the 1990s, although it was painted very differently back then.
