Jimbo & The Jet Set

 Based on the popular television character, RG Mitchell released the Jimbo & The Jet Set ride in 1993.  It quickly became one of their most popular rides and could be seen just about everywhere in the UK during the 1990s.

When in motion, the ride played the Jimbo theme tune.  There were four push buttons for sound clips taken from the TV show.  The original version also had moving "goggle eyes" but the covers often became smashed so the design was updated.


Merrivale Model Village, Great Yarmouth, June 2021.  Unfortunately, the soundboard on this ride was damaged and made a loud "crackling" noise throughout the ride.

According to old RG Mitchell advertising material, the ride measured 60" x 36" x 43" and weighed 132lbs.  As of the 2001 price list, it cost £2,195.00 to purchase.
