Manufactured by Edwin Hall & Co., Basil Brush made his debut at the Amusement Trades Exhibition in January 1971. He remained one of Hall's most popular rides until the company was sold to RG Mitchell in 1975. Mitchell then continued to make the ride for several years both as a coin operated ride and a toy for juvenile roundabouts.
