Flying Pig

 Manufactured by Whittaker Brothers, this two-seater Flying Pig ride was released in 1991.

So yes, here we have a rather strange cross between a pig and an aeroplane!  The rider sat inside a hollow section within the pig's back, making it all the stranger!  The chubby pig - dressed as an old fashioned aviator - carried a set of bi-plane wings on his back, holding onto the "straps" (yes, these wings were affixed in the style of a backpack!) with his curiously human-like hands.

When in motion, the ride played "The Flying Trapeze".  There were also two push buttons for "machine guns" and "bombs away" sound effects (!), along with two steering wheels, on a panel labelled "Porky's Flying Circus"!

The ride measured 62" x 33" x 44" and weighed 187lbs.
