Speedway

Manufactured by BAFCO, the Speedway Bike was one of their original range of rides released in 1980.  It was still going strong in the 1990s as part of their "Classic Rides" range.  The bike came in a variety of different colours and designs, on a yellow base with road markings.  The ride had a rocking motion, although slightly different to most rocking rides in that it was the top part of the base that moved, while the actual bike toy remained stationery, affixed to the base.

Teignmouth Pier, September 2011.  I believe this Speedway had been at the pier since the 1980s, but it disappeared after the 2014 storms.  I'm unsure if it was destroyed in the storms, or if it had been sold prior to that as some of the other rides had.

Production of the bike was discontinued around 1999.
