Deer

Edwin Hall Deer.  This is the second version with no antlers.

Released in 1965, this deer was originally manufactured by Edwin Hall.  At least two versions were made, with and without antlers.

Edward Savill later used an updated version of the antler-less mould for his Bambi ride in 1978.  The deer had now gained a collar, and was painted in antique fairground style to match its ornate saddle.

The Edward Savill Bambi was apparently made in both single and twin versions.  I've never seen the twin version though.

No strangers to using old designs from other companies, JM Kiddie Rides also manufactured their own version of this deer.  Theirs made its debut at the Amusement Trades Exhibition in January 1979.
