My Little Pony

Manufactured by Jolly Roger Amusement Rides, the My Little Pony ride was released in 1995.

There were two versions widely released, loosely based on characters from the My Little Pony Tales TV series.  However, their colours were inaccurate.  One had Melody's colours (pink with blue hair) but featured Starlight's symbols, while the other version had Sweetheart's symbols but had a blue body with yellow mane and tail.  The pink pony was by far the most commonly seen in the UK, while the blue version seems to have been more widely distributed in the USA.

Watford Market, November 2010 (Fun fact: This was the first kiddie ride video I ever filmed!)

The only exceptions I've ever seen to these two versions were a pair of oddball ponies at Adventure Island in Southend-on-Sea.  Both had Starlight's symbol (this time in red!), but one was yellow with purple hair and the other green with pink hair.  They both stood on red bases.  Sadly, these two ponies were later dismantled, their bases scrapped and the pony toys placed on a juvenile roundabout in a travelling fairground, so I never had the chance to take more detailed photographs of them than those taken in my childhood.
