Hastings, August 1998
Don't ask, "Colourful Head" is another of my crazy childhood names based on the way that the sunlight reflected off of the paintwork of one of my favourite horse rides!
Made by Falgas, this large horse was probably released in the 1980s. Usually painted rather colourfully (as the nickname suggests), he was in a prancing pose, tossing his head. He wore a carousel-style saddle, with an axe at the front of it.
Many thanks to Jose De León
The horse originally had canvas reins but these were easily broken, leaving riders with a metal rail to hold at the front of the saddle.
