London Bus

Manufactured by Cointronics of Hastings, the London Bus was released in 1993.  It was widely distributed in the UK by Cromptons Leisure Machines, and became a very popular ride at British seaside resorts in the 1990s.

Caesars Amusements, Hemsby, April 2017.  This particular unit had its destination stickers replaced to give it some "local flavour"!  It appears to have retained its original soundtrack however, featuring famous London landmarks.

Able to seat three children at one time, it could be personalised to the customer's requirements with the name of their business etc. on the side or destinations board.

Play Bus - Clacton Pier, August 1998

A couple of years later, the Play Bus was released.  Using the same mould as the London Bus, this one was decorated with brightly coloured patches.  It played "The Day We Went To Bangor" when in motion.

Play Bus - Walton-on-the-Naze Pier, September 2017

Play Bus - Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, South Shields, June 2017.  I'm not too sure if this is a later variant or if it had been refurbished with a new timer at a later date, as I've never heard another Play Bus with this soundtrack.
