The Toytown Range was a range of four identical cars with different colours and themes, released by RG Mitchell in the early 1990s.
The Playtime Car and Toy Town Police were by far the most popular in the UK, a common sight in amusement arcades and shops alike.
Playtime Car - 2000 RG Mitchell Catalogue
The Playtime Car was yellow and green with red wheels and interior. It had "Playtime" written across the front in bright colours and was highly decorated with happy pictures of flowers, teddy bears and butterflies to attract the kids. I particularly remember the cartoon bunny pictured next to the doorway with a speech bubble saying, "Hop inside!"

When in motion, the ride played well known nursery rhymes. There were also four push buttons and a rolling road display screen.
Toy Town Police - 2000 RG Mitchell Catalogue
The Toy Town Police Car was white and blue with "Toy Town Police" written across the front in bright colours. It usually had the number 88 in blue on the side (although I have seen a couple with different numbers written on them over the years), along with a silver police department badge.

The police car had a soundtrack of sirens and other suitable sound effects, as well as the standard four push buttons and a rolling road display screen.
Taxi - 2000 RG Mitchell Catalogue
The Taxi and Fire Chief were made in far smaller numbers, although more seem to have been exported to the other side of the Atlantic.
Fire Chief - 2000 RG Mitchell Catalogue
The Taxi was yellow and black and had "36 Taxi Cab Co" written across the front in bright colours, while the Fire Chief was white and red. Both had the same four push buttons and and rolling road display screens inside.
According to old RG Mitchell catalogues, the cars measured 65" x 32" x 60" and weighed 308lbs. As of the 2001 price list, they cost £2,495.00 each to purchase.
