School Bus (2-Seater) - 1980s Whittaker Brothers Leaflet
Manufactured by Whittaker Brothers, the "Road Transport Series" was released in the 1980s. There were three models in the series (Post Van, School Bus and Police Van), all using the same base car in different colours. All three rides came in single or two-seater versions. The single-seater vehicles had originally been manufactured as battery operated go-karts (and would continue to be sold in this form for many years alongside their rocking coin operated counterparts).

The post van was coloured in red and yellow, the school bus in yellow and orange and the police van in two-tone blue. Each had a thin "window" either side of the seat with a relevant character's face looking through; a cheerful postman for the post van and a cheeky schoolboy for the school bus.

In the mid-1990s, the mould was changed to that of the larger "Jazz Car". The ride still came in single or two-seater versions, but with the option of a puppy or other fibreglass character figure sitting in the passenger seat of the single seater rides.
