This is a very rare little ride nowadays and its history is not entirely clear. I believe a slightly different version of this racing car was originally released by RJ Newborough & Co. around 1984. The design was updated several times over the years, but its one of the few models which was made by Roger Newborough under all three of his main kiddie ride manufacturing businesses; RJ Newborough & Co., Anglo Amusement Industries and Jolly Roger Amusement Rides.
Many thanks to Back in the Day 44!
The car seen in the video above is obviously the Jolly Roger version, and would have been one of their earliest rides, manufactured in the late 1980s.
