Peter Petz began his fairground career in 1967 when a showman in Munich asked him to decorate the facade of one of his attractions for him.
By the early 1980s, he had his own company and was manufacturing fairground rides and equipment. He specialised in recreating the style of 19th century German fairgrounds in various different settings, with entire mini amusement parks down to shop fittings. Peter Petz was listed twice in the Guinness Book of Records twice for his innovative ideas, including the world's first solar powered carousel.
In 1987, Peter Petz was asked to design a miniature carousel for one of the big department stores in London, which was how he came to manufacture coin operated rides. Building on this idea he designed a range of small coin operated carousels, with an assortment of different toys and styles.
