Edwin Hall Advert - The Coin Slot, January 1969

Manufactured by Edwin Hall & Co., this ostrich made its debut at the Amusement Trades Exhibition in January 1969.


Earnley Gardens, July 2011.  The plate on this unit's coin post read "Supplied and manufactured by Edward Savill Amusements".  Edward Savill was Hall's main distributor for many years, and manufactured several of Hall's designs after the company's closure, usually with a few minor differences.  The difference in this ostrich is possibly the most subtle of all - he wears a small collar around his neck.  Other than that, he is identical to the Edwin Hall version.
