Edwin Hall & Co.'s Round-About was the first British carousel-type kiddie ride, making its debut at the Amusement Trade Exhibition in March 1956. The original version was a two-seater ride with miniature models of Hall's Gracie Giraffe and Zebbie Zebra mounted on it. This version had a pretty canopy with tassels hanging around the edges.
Later variations swapped the canopy for a series of flags (often personalised with the name of the owner or arcade) or had three or four mounts. The larger versions often included one or more of Edwin Hall's licensed characters (Muffin the Mule, Noddy etc.) in some way as well as a sit-in chariot for younger riders.

I have only ever found evidence of one of these with elephant and goose-themed carriages, as seen here. I believe there were several other variants of these carriage-style Round-Abouts.

Clip from the movie "Poor Cow", filmed in Bognor Regis in 1967.
Note the carousel ride at 0:06 in the above film. I presume this is another variant of Edwin Hall's carriage-style Round-Abouts, possibly featuring a horse pulling a (cloud shaped?) chariot.
